Anderson Called Up; Rollins DFA'd
« on: June 10, 2016, 02:02:44 PM »
Anderson is 22, and is hitting .304 at AAA, with 2 or more hits in 20 of his last 32 games. His m.o. has been to start slow at a level, and then several weeks in turn it on. He's leading the IL in hits, and in 55 games has 4 HR's, 20 RBI's, and 11 SB's. He has terrific range, but like a lot of young SS's, he needs to recognize plays he can't make. Rollins was a great player. Maybe he could help the Phillies again. The Sox have added Shields, Morneau, Anderson and Danish in the past week, while Latos, Rollins and Sands are gone. They want Bruce from Cinci. Jackson needs to pick it up, as does Albers, or they're next.

9 multi-hit games in his first 18. Very athletic and skilled.

This kid can play. 12 multi-hit games in first 23. Batting around .310. Solid at the plate, in the field, and on the bases. Very impressed. Going out to the Cell tomorrow night.  Go Sox.

Never saw Tanaka before. Looking forward to it. Sox are playing decent again. By August 1 they'll have Austin Jackson  back, and Morneau. The bullpen needs help, as Albers, Beck and Ynoa are not MLB level, and they need to adios Garcia and get another hitter. I'd love to get into the playoffs with Sale pitching that one game wildcard.
