Yep, it is. But certain things become obvious. For the Sox, it's the 2 hole and the 5 starter. Also, the manager is subpar. You have Eaton, a blank, Abreu (who's scuffling), Frazier, Cabrera another blank, Lawrie, the C, and Jackson. You have two holes, the 2 and 6, and the SS and DH. Lawrie can move to 6, if you need to keep Anderson down. Then you bat your SS 9, and move Jackson to 7. The 2 hole is too important to leave to Rollins and Saladino/Sanchez. Atlanta, Oakland, Minnie, Cinci, Milwaukee, SD, aren't going anywhere. A LH bat, who can handle the 2 hole has to exist somewhere. It's the key to the remainder of the Sox season, imo.

And they were leading 5-1 yesterday in the 7th. Ventura is clueless on bullpen usage, putting guys in spots and defined roles, and when to remove a failing reliever. He brought in his closer in a non-save situation,  and then left him in for 6 runs. He's a brutally bad game manager, who needs to be let go. He should have been fired after last year. The idiotic bullpen usage has caused at least 6 losses in the past 3 weeks, beginning with the loss in Texas where they had a 7 run lead in the 8th. With a competent manager they have 5 more wins, minimum.

Give Ventura a little credit for keeping an even kiel. I think he's very good in the clubhouse. Still sucks during the game, as evidenced in game 1 where he had his 3 hitter bunt in a scoreless game. Moronic. Ventura and Groce are very similar to me: solid citizens, good people liked by their respective players, who are awful in game.
