What's the joke? It's gambling. There's a statute,  passed by the legislature, signed by the governor, and enforced by the AG. There's substantial evidence that these sites, unregulated, are ripping off consumers.

ALL the problems this state has right now and our attorney general is concerned about stopping people from playing fantasy sports... You can play the lottery though, oh but the state won't pay you... lmao... And that's really the actually truth behind it all too, because you can bet if the state was getting their piece of the pie on this it would be ok

still waiting for those charges on her daddy for the red light camera bribe scandal.....

The state is paying now. They couldn't pay because of the budget stalemate between the assembly and governor.                                           As far as fantasy sites, the AG was asked for an opinion by three legislators. She responded. It is gambling. Unsanctioned gambling is illegal in every state in the union, not just Illinois. The proprietors of these sites are bookies. Unless you believe all gambling should be legal and unencumbered by the state, why should Draft Kings, et al, be any different than a casino? Or a racetrack? New York, Nevada, and about 10 other states have issued the same opinion. Soon it will be nationwide.

There will be no charges on the red light issue, largely because it's not a scandal. Maybe it should be, but there was nothing illegal. The feds have looked every way but sideways.
