Yep.  I've watched all his matches this weekend.  He's won by dominating one guy,  but controlling and cruising to a closer victory against one guy, and won an absolute ride fest where he played control defense the whole match and won 2-1.

He's not out of the woods yet.  The final has a very aggressive redshirt Freshman that will come at him balls to the wall.  Either it works and he gets the upset, or he gets beaten badly by Martinez.

There have been some really weird matches in this tourney.  Some really uninspired efforts.  The little guys saw both the number ones get upset and ousted.  And there have been a few where it looked like a college wrestler against a Freshman in HS wrestler the way they just move right through them and pin them so quickly.

Oh, and it's really too bad that he moved up a class, I'd really like to see him beat Nolf again for the third year in a row!  But it looks like Nolf will finally win one.

UI had somebody in all but 3 weight classes...4 guys made the quarterfinals, but only iMar made it past

Right now we still have iMar going for the 165 title, Brunson will get no worse than 6th at 174, and Richards is in the 7th place match at 133

Not a bad showing, let's bring it home iMar!!

Told you guys that kid had nothing to lose.  He just pinned Martinez.

No 4 time NC for him.  Can try for a 3rd next year.

Looked slow like feet were in concrete.

Nolf won finally.  He's the happiest person in the world that Martinez moved up a class and finally opened up his path to a NC.
