all im saying is, its always worked out better for us to get early commits

I see your point but not sure I completely agree, i.e., Jereme Richmond, who came and turned into a ditz, and other early commits like Quentin Snyder, who bailed, etc.  I don't feel good till they're on campus and playing good ball.

I get what youre saying but because of 2 guys you cant dismiss most of our recruits over the last decade that committed early and worked out. in fact you could probably count on one hand over the last 5-6 years  at least maybe more the number of guys that have waited till spring /summer of the year of enrollment to recruit to us.
I believe most of these guys have mentioned that they are planning on committing before the end of this year.  I think I heard GC say he wanted to make his decision during the next open period. I think that was the term he used and I have no freaking idea when that is.   Recruiting periods confuse me a great deal.

you can commit anytime...you cant sign LOI's any time...which is stupid.

LOIs can only be signed in fall and spring period
Yeah it is goofy, that is for sure.

Irving is 4 years younger and a better player then Thomas by far...Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic who cares about them really? the pick will be good asset but so is Kyrie and building a young team around him

Cavs took a step backwards IMO..I think its a good deal for the Celtics...Lebron cant play forever, rumors that he may be out the door again after this season, whats Cleveland got after that happens? they will be going from 1st to worst real fast unless some picks work out for them
For having no leverage with Kyrie wanting out, Cavs made out like bandits. Crowder is a great bench guy on a playoff team and Zizic still has some upside.  I can't believe they got that Nets unprotected pick included. Total steal.

its not a terrible deal for them,  it will hurt less this upcoming season. but I dont think they won it, certainly not when you consider the longer term ramifications..there also no guarantee that pick is going to be the top pick or anything..nets could improve a bit too, pick could end up being the 6th/ 7th pick and not the 1st or 2nd or 3rd.

You gotta admire Danny Ainge that is one smart ass GM, wish he was the Bulls GM!!! lol
