Four-star PG Ayo Dosunmu Speaks On 11 Programs

Known for his strong upper body and his overall length, with an improving shot, Chicago native and four-star guard Ayo Dosumnu has narrowed his list to 11 programs: Illinois, Creighton, Kansas, Memphis, UConn, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, USC, NC State, Xavier, and Wake Forest. He gave his thoughts on each school and what their message has been to him.

Illinois: "Love Coach (Brad) Underwood's style. I'm very familiar with his offense. He was one of the early offers when he HC at OSU."

THT never has cracked the top 100 for some reason. I have seen people saying he is top 50 which I don't know about but I do know Bill Self offered the kid.  Finke dropped like a lead balloon.

I can't remember who it was but Roy Schmidt made a tweet the other day to the effect of  do you think the fact that Kansas offered has anything to do with the kid now being rated top 100?     I think there is some truth to that.  Hawk always said as soon as a kid commits to us they drop in the rankings.

and for whatever reason I don't hear much buzz about Finke.  Not sure what the deal is there but a lot of people down on, or sleeping on the kid right now.  I don't know if it is justified or not. To me AAU ball only tells you so much since it really isn't anything but showcase your own skills games with no team work. He didn't have a great spring and summer in AAU so maybe that is why.  These others kids blew up including THT.  I still don't see how anybody has that kid outside of the top 100.   As Philly said, all these top programs and coaches can't be wrong.

if that were the case THT would have gone up though. But usually that is true

I dunno man, Finke probably ends up at OSU so we'll see how he pans out. But he continues to fall.

Rutgers picked up a 4th commit for 2018

Big Ten looks to be loaded for the near future, especially Maryland, IU and MSU

Article on Castleton.  I think Illinois is in good shape, but if a scholarship opens at Florida it's game over.

Quote
Illinois: "I like them because the system coach (Brad) Underwood has that he's told me about. It will be really good to get up there and see everything in person. And the relationship I have with coach (Orlando) Antigua is really the main thing. He was the first coach to offer me at South Florida and he was one of the first coaches I talked to. He called me the first day he got there."

Florida: "Florida is my dream school. It's been my favorite since I was a kid. That right there catches my eye. When they first contacted me, I couldn't believe it. I love coach (Mike) White. We have a really good relationship. I'm just waiting to see what happens with their scholarships because they don't have any open ones in 2018 for me, but they would definitely be at the top of my list."

Apparently, only the top 100 are ranked and the rest are random...stupid.

I'm a bit nervous. We made moves to get the right people in place to nab the right kids. Not sure we have the believers just yet.
