Steve Stricker

Anyone else been taking notice of Steve and him working his way up the money list, being in contention 3-4 last weeks?

He is over/at 2 million earnings so far this year, and if he keeps the pace, might qualify for President's Cup team.

Yah, my dad explained how he was from Wisconsin then came to UI.  I root for Tiger, while my dad roots for Stricker.  The US Open was a solid effort by Steve, well at least the first 63 holes or so.

Steve was very competitive on tour at one time, and has simply just hung around since then.   He is having a resurgence this year.  His game is very similar to Lee Janzen's. I would not doubt if Steve won a US Open some day.

Representing!!!   Steve shot a course record tying 64 yesterday, and is 3 shots back today, after missing an easy birdie  putt  on the 3rd, comes right back and birdies the 4th.   Come on Steve!  ILL-

He was a birdie machine all week until the final round. Still, a great major showing by Steve.

I liked that Garcia choked though!  ha ha

Steve is back at the top of the Leaderboard!!  Go Strick!!!  I wish I lived closer to Chicago and could go support him and be in the gallery chanting I-L-L.... I-N-I.

A win would put him back in the lead of the FedEx Cup standings with one event left, the Tour Championship.  He is currently 5th in the World Golf Rankings now which is highly impressive!  A win at Cog Hill may move him up a spot or 2 in those rankings as well.

I wish Steve the best and hope he can close out the tourney at Cog Hill and the FedEx Cup.  The winner of the FedEx Cup gets a nice little bonus of a $10 million annuity or savings bond.  I am not exactly for sure how the FedEx Cup money is paid out, but I think it is $1 million per year for 10 years once the winner hits 50 or 55 years of age.

I imagine there will be a lot of O and B in the gallery tomorrow!  If you are going yell out a big I-L-L... I-N-I to Stricker for me!!
