I would target Stevie Johnson of the free agent WR's because he has put up good numbers, in a cold weather environment, plus he put up decent numbers with an average QB IMO.

I don't like V Jax because the cold weather and probably more money than Johnson.

If Finley can be had, I would take him gladly!  Fred Davis is good also though.

No matter the FA signings, in this draft there must be at least ONE WR drafted that can become a legit NFL WR.  Be it the 2nd, 3rd, or 5th rd, but draft a WR that great hands and some size.  Might have to give a little on speed the later you draft a WR, but we have plenty of small/little speed guys.  The WR from Iowa might be a good draft in the 2-4 rds?   :ponder:  MSU had a few good WR's.
He'll likely be franchised.  Besides, no way his bat shit crazy wife would let him leave Green Bay for another cold city.

You would franchise a Tight End?  Didnt he really underperform this year? I dont know if I'd do that. I still think the Bears are going to take Floyd in the late 1st round.

I sure hope they get another but who knows, I'll take a good TE and Floyd I guess, unless they sign Bowe or Marshall or someone

I'd like to see Stevie Johnson here also. that would be a big upgrade. Take a WR in the draft also. I don't want to spend a lot on a FA tight end until I see what kind of offense we run next year.
Still crazy

He definitely underperformed, but why does it matter what position you franchise?  It will be hard to get him to sign a long deal for what Ted Thompson would be willing to pay him.  We're pretty well situated cap wise, especially considering it sounds like Driver will either be cut or take a huge paycut.  Really just need to resign Wells and Finley.  The handling of Matt Flynn will be the most interesting storyline for Ted this offseason.

Floyd wont make it to 18. His combine is going to push him into the top 15. I really like Kendall Wright from Baylor too. Would be perfectly fine with that pick.

IMO da Bears have to get a free agent WR, for the prior NFL experience, and a draft pick WR that can either play immediately, or be developed, but good enough to make the team.  Would also add a WR or two to the practice squad.

Also have to draft a TE, or sign a free agent TE.  Would think about adding a TE to the practice squad also, but there are only 4-6 practice slots, so might not be able to add both a WR and TE to practice squad, because need a QB on the practice squad, no doubt!
