baseball contracts are ridiculously out of control

Nobody complains about his salary when he was having one of his best seasons with the Rays and making 400k. 

Or Castro making this same 400k last year for the Cubs, despite being one of their best players.  The cost controlled years of players career as so far below the last 2 arbitration years and FA.

Not to go all saber metric, but Garza did have a 5 WAR season last year.

I think if Theo went to arbitration, the Cubs would of won the case, but its not a huge deal.

Dempster, Garza, Jeff S, Volstad, Malholm starting rotation.


Oh, BTW, Chris Carpenter, the guy sent to Boston for Theo - elbow surgery.   :doh:
