With regard to Ibby, I totally disagree with your premise that it was not needed, nor important for Ibby to play 2-3 minutes a game.     Project?  Um .. coach is still saying ML is project .. and he played SOME minutes last year.  Not trying say Ibby is better than ML as a freshman, etc, but that coach should play Ibby every 1st half of every game, same with Shaw, even if for only 2-3 minutes of actual clock time, but get them in the game.  A great team is only as good as the worst player on a team, plus by getting players any clock/opportunities, they will develop quicker and also feel more confident.  JMHO.

Player have to respectfully disagree with you on this point.    Ibby has no business being on the court in anything but a blow out.   It will hurt him and discourage him getting beat so badly.   A kid like IBBY, who is a HUGE project, has to learn in practice and after practice.   If we play IBBY several minutes a game you are spotting a team 5-7 points immediately.   A coaches number one job is to win, and developing players is part of long term development, but IMO if we play Ibby and Shaw like you say, we lose an extra 4-6 games this season.

Iman, it is hard to debate with you if you always twist my words.

Example.  I said Ibby should play 2-3 minutes every 1st half.  IF he plays well, then MAYBE he can get some 2nd half minutes.

YOU say, "we play Ibby SEVERAL minutes a game"  never said that.  YOU did.

Any way, I totally, and respectfully  ;) , disagree that Ibby and Shaw have no business being on the court.  Can't believe you even type that statement because I couldn't disagree more.

I totally and respectfully disagree with you saying that Ibby will become "hurt and discourage him because he will get beat so badly."  What?  Couldn't disagree any more if it was humanly possible  :icon_biggrin:  and would beg to differ.  I think Ibby would only get better, more hungry to prove he is a player, and at 2-3 minutes clips, in the 1st half.  This is the BEST way to bring on a player and HELP a team win games as a team.

Also, IMO, Ibby did pretty good for his 3-4 minute spurt he got against MSU, a Top 10 team with a solid front line I will add, and you want to complain about his foul, super quick or not, dumb or not, freshman mistake, whatever, but let's look at the big picture my friend.  Ibby did well in his time there.  He has to feel better about his game, self esteem and I am once again saying he is even more hungry to get MORE clock on the court.  I'm willing to bet Ibby picked up his practice this week.  I bet Henry has been picking up his practice.  When players play in games, like it or not Iman, said players FEEL more of the team.  A coach has to 'get his young players' beaks wet so to speak' and not let them ride pine when other players aren't getting it done.

I will also say Ibby plays tomorrow.  Watch.  Coach is coming around to this coaching style also.  His style is changing for the better, so you might want to get with his new style change also Iman, then you can keep 'in step' with coach.   ;)

The guys that are hurt and discouraged are the ones that are leaving the team.
I ain't askin for nuthin, if I can't get it on my own. If ya don't like the way I'm livin', ya just leave this long haired country boy alone.
