Sorry but I don't qualify this as a choke.  Illini did everything right down the stretch.  Made FT's got layups on offense.  Minny took a terrible 3 that they made , didn't foul for 25 seconds, and got a borderline foul call.

The only choke was possibly the Williams tip dunk, and letting Hollins get in the lane that easy.

Sorry but fouling on a layup when u are up 3 counts as a choke.

So the decision of a ref to blow a whistle or not decides a choke? 

Look it was a close foul or not.  It was called everyone thinks yeah it probably was.  They don't call, everyone says probably not you have to earn it at the end refs won't decide it.

We should have done what many teams do and foul before Minny has a chance to shoot the ball...up 3, it makes great sense. 
Either way, BP freakin let us down on D that play...and ML needs to be much smarter than to foul in that situation...
All around breakdown...plenty of blame to go around.

agreed...There were many choke plays in this game by us...but the nail in the coffin, or "dagger" if you will...

DJ at the top guarding..Weber decides to yell something at him, he looks over..Minny player goes right by him and scores....just comical!!  WTF are the coach and the player even thinking there?? 

just GUARD and play DEFENSE!!! .....there should be nothing you have to yell at him about there!! and for DJ you shouldn't have to look over at the bench either.

it was an absolute bs call.....for meyers to get out of the way he would have literally had to dive out of the way.....he did nothing wrong at all on that play

could only follow by gametracker, but for cryin' out loud you CAN'T give the refs a chance to call a foul on a layup when you are up 3 with under 10 secs to go. Give up the 2, get it in bounds, hit your FTs and defend the 3. walk away with a win.

Poor start to the OT. dug too big a hole.

Many chances to win. Too many TOs (Paul with 6), too many fouls, too many missed FTs, 3-21 on 3s (Paul 1-8, DJ 1-6, Sam 0-3)   same old, same old it would seem.

Well it looked like Leonard was trying to get out of the way. Which made me wonder. Why put him in the middle in the first place? Can the basketball experts explain that to me? It seems to me that you put everyone at the 3 point line.

Henry was absolutely uninspiring....TA and Sam both bad, Griff had one three, Nanna had one bucket.....only people who played well at all tonight were ML and BP...and even they had their share of brain cramps....

You either back away and give the 2 pts up or you foul and make sure he doesn't get the shot off. Basketball 101

It was Dj's fault for letting the guy into the lane.....meyers had no time to react and just stayed straigh up in front of the guy...he initiated no contact
