I've read every post here and you guys are missing something...
The U of I Board of trustees are now APPOINTED positions - appointed by whom???? I think all these ass clowns were appointed by Rod Blago. Why would Blago give an appointment to someone? Because they probably gave him tons of campaign funding because they wanted something in return.
Do these people have any ties to the University of Illinois? Former students? Former faculty? Uhhhh, no. Many of them do not, they simply got a favorable position because they either gave cash or did a favor for the governor.
Wonder if the chief would have been ushered out so quickly if our board of trustees actually knew what the hell it means to really be an Illini? They don't, they sit in fancy offices in Chicago and get to brag to their friends that they are on the Board of Trustees.
