I am going to take the Kool Aid spin.  ;)

I think this shows that if we can win with those type numbers, look out if we can improve those categories because we will be unbeatable!
Iman, you're definitely in the first group of people Tupper talked about in his article today...  While I appreciate the positive spin, statistics shouldn't be this poor against the kind of teams we've played..it's a little scary to be honest.  Let's hope we are not only a team that plays down to our competition, but a team that can rise up as well.
we have played some poor teams, but we have also played some solid to very good teams:

Gonzaga
Purdue
Minnesota
UNLV
Missouri
Richmond
Maryland

so....all with a grain of salt....most important thing is the W on the board and continued improvement.

BTW, I was half joking but a little serious with my post. If we can win with numbers that ugly (yes some bad but some good teams) if we improve them we should be in good shape.
Our SOS is 130th currently and that is after 3 conference games.  I imagine before that it was closer to 200 than 100.  The Twirps, Richmond, Minny and Purdue are below average for them.  Nice names, but not great.

By the end of the year with our conference schedule we will be in the top 30-40 for SOS, but our nonconf SOS this year was just hideous.  The good news is that we came out of that without any bad losses.
Wizz I agree some of those teams aren't as good as in the past, but they are playing fairly well now, so that helps.

I think I read somewhere that our SOS is projected to be top 15 after conference play.  I agree we had some patty cakes, but that is what a group of players playing together as a team for the first time needed (I know some differ on the young term, so that is the way I am putting it because yes SM,DJ & BP are seasoned players and TG has had plenty of PT over last 2.5 years as well).

Here is #19 ranked Wisconsin for comparison:

Quote
2011-12 OVERALL RANKINGS
POINTS PER GAME
67.2
201st OVERALL

REBOUNDS PER GAME
35.8
148th OVERALL

ASSISTS PER GAME
12.5
208th OVERALL

FIELD GOAL PCT
.443
150th  OVERALL

No need to panic.  Numbers are just numbers - heart and determination help in the equation as well.

I was wondering what the other teams looked like. It makes me feel a bit better after seeing those numbers. Thanks!

These #s show  a few things.  1 is that we are winning close and losing badly.  2 is that we have alot of new players and our
defense is slowly coming around, and our offense is ever more slowly coming around.  As far as SOS, some of the teams like
Lipscomb and Belmont are winning some games
