Cru I would take JB over Griffey if given the choice I agree with you. I just like the traditional power 4 and center lineup better. If we are running motion or chuck and duck Bertrand is a better fit.

Bertrand at the 4 will only work against  2 or 3 teams in the Big 10 i dont like it either...and i think Egwu and Meyers worked pretty good....

Why wont he play Henry--whats up

I'd start Egwu and bring Bertrand 1st off bench, then Griffey, then Abrams, then Shaw. Wish I could see Henry but I guess its not in the cards

id go with Egwu also...would like to see Bert cut into some of Pauls minutes especially if he is not going to commit to getting to the hoop...way too many bad shots today when there were other options...I didnt se Bert take one bad shot tonight

 
BP was 5-16 from the field and had 5 turnovers.

I am a glass half full guy tonight.  Played a good first half.  Got stagnant......no really sloppy in the second half.  Turnovers leading to easy buckets, bad D leading to easy buckets put Minny back in the game and we struggled.
 
However,we did right the ship and we got some guys some minutes.  Bert looked good, DJ solid, Sam and BP had their moments and we got Tracy and Nnanna some minutes in big 10 play.  Griff was disappointing.  ML was spectacular, then immature, then controlled and finally spectacular again in closing out the game. 
 
Minny is really not very good, but will take the win and chalk it up as another peg on the way to this team growing up.

Wizz I don't know if Minny is good or bad, they are somewhere in the 4-8 range in the B10. They only have one loss, so its still a "quality" win for us. But a loss would have been really bad. Win at Purdue and this Minny win becomes huge

We need Egwu to play the 4 when ML is the 5. Going forward it is going to get worse for ML on the block and if there is not another post threat on the other side block, we will be in trouble every time we play against a good 4 and 5 on the other team.  He will get doubled as soon as he touches it.

By the way, the Griffey experiment starting should be over, he played 3 minutes today, had more fouls than points, boards, or assists

I think he needs to come off the bench as a fill in guy, he is a perimeter player

Im just saying........I saw at least 6 to 7 times when the team could have used him...I would play him at the 4 before JB..he is taller- stronger

We were winning by 11, I had to step away for an hour, came back to read about Illini's victory, saw the game was in double overtime and about fell out of my chair.

JB looking good again for the second straight game gives me a lot of hope for the upcoming games. I hope he can keep it up.

Having to fight through a double overtime game at home against Minnesota who was without one of their best players does not give me any confidence.

But this team wins the games they are supposed to win, pretty or ugly. The question is if they can pick up some games they are supposed to lose. The next game at Purdue is a good chance.
