Plus we have to keep in mind we can't count on playing ML and Egwu all the time...there needs to be some sort of rotation..and besides going small, we need some other guys able to come in and bang...and Shaw is the next best option IMO.

I went with JBert... probably would have went with Meyers if it weren't for the turnovers... but he had a great game.

Not much else to say about this game, other than they gutted out a win when they needed one (with a little help from MU).  As others have said, this is the type of game that we would have lost in the last few years.

...one other thought... I'd like to see ML moved to the 4 with Egwu and Djimde playing the 5.  I think this accomplishes the same thing as Musson was describing, but allows for Meyers athleticism to be more of a factor... plus it adds more toughness inside.

I'm not suggesting that it should be ML and Egwu exclusively.  I just think that should be the tandem on the floor together as much as possible. They should start together and make the adjustments as needed.

Hopefully, they are figuring out when and where to foul, so we can start trying that because that is the biggest obstacle in the way. If ML gets cheap fouls, Egwu is his primary back up.

Ideally, I would like to see Shaw be the first big in for whomever gets the fouls. For short, but meaningful minutes.  If Egwu is getting the fouls though, it should be a switch to small ball and JB getting the first look.

I don't know what to do with Griffey right now. Be either has to decide he is going to throw his weight around and turn himself into a post player, or he needs to be the 3. And that is not a knock on him. If he can gain confidence at the 3, I would add him to the lineup with Egwu and ML, BP and Sam.   If we can't rev up the inside game with those 5 on the floor together, then something is deffinately wrong.
