Yes, he did!   ;)  I picked Henry.  He really had a good game and can score.  DJ with a solid game.  I thought we looked good even with the 4 freshman and Crandall in.  The team seemed to play as a team no matter who was on the court.  That I like to see!

Just saw Leonard's Flying Dunk! WOW!  :jittery:

Which was ruined by the team not getting back on defense and allowed an uncontested Chicago St. dunk.   :veryannoyed:

Exactly. That's why you don't pose and celebrate after a good play. Just keep playing all out.

The opposing player run out the other end line which gave ILL the 5 on 4 break, but no one stayed back. That one wasn't on ML celebrating. I thought he did less posing on that one.
Still crazy

Didn't get to see the game, but Barnhart and Hester on the radio broadcast said they got beat down the floor because they - the team, not ML in particular - were celebrating the dunk. I intended my comments as a general statement that you can't - or at least shouldn't IMO - be posing and mugging for the cameras after a good play because it can cost you. I HATE all the histrionics players go through after a good play - not just Illini players, not just in basketball, and not just in college sports. I hate it in all sports at all levels. It is diametrically opposed to what we had drilled into our heads back in the dark ages.

Henry gets my vote for chief ... the kid can just flat out score - a real natural on the offensive end  :cheering:  :Clapping:

It will be interesting to see if Weber gives him any clock whatsoever if/when we hit a scoring drought this week

If Henry can develop his D, he could really be one of the great national finds amongst the class of 2015   :ILLINI: :usa:

Good minutes for the young guys and good overall game.  I'm ready for Maryland so we can see what we really have!

I was impressed by Bertrand and Meyers but gave my COG to DJ. Head looks good on the court I would love to see coach find a way to play him in important games he is a great athlete.
On paper, I can always convince myself that the talent is there to contend among college basketball's elite, even if it's obviously foolish to expect it.
