problem is Bears are 30th in waiver wire.... sounds like they might have little no no chance of getting him due to the wavier wire position

Supposedly Ortons agent had been telling teams other than the Bears to not bother claiming him. If they did he wouldn't show up.

Although he would show up. Otherwise he would forfeit his salary for the year, and probably part of the signing bonus.
