Hell no. Soriano is still somewhat productive at the plate. Wells is pure garbage.

I disagree with saying Soriano is more productive than Wells at the plate.  I totally agree with the hell no.  Why take on 9 more mil when we've been waiting to get Soriano off the books for what seems like 35 years now? Wells can catch a fly ball, but neither put us in a position to be competitive...

Wells - .218/.248/.412    .3 WAR

Soriano - .244/.289/.469 1.3 WAR

Soriano was worth a full run better than Wells even with the worse defense. How can you argue that he is less productive than Wells at the plate?

I don't see a benefit in this trade for the Cubs. Two overpaid OF's whose teams would like to unload them.
Still crazy

he had a good year last season...he was injured a lot this year though and never got into a  groove

there no advantage though, and the fact he's owed 9 million more then Sorryano, is an automatic no to this deal...im not sure who is suggesting this deal, I think its just a "Tribune generated rumor"

Just play out the contract. He is not terrible even though the salary in  no way, shape or form matches the production. He doesn't cause problems, he is not disliked by team mates.

They need to concentrate all trade efforts on Z

The Marlins need a circus act to help get people in their new stadium. They got part of the act in Gullien (sp?). Zambrano would be perfect.
