Vince Carter is another option. Cheap stop gap, can still play and is a bigger SG that can play defense. Better scoring option than Bogans and would mean we wouldnt need to trade away vital bench pieces to add a scoring SG. Allowing us to keep keys pieces in case we wanted to move on Howard.

he's a guy I might not mind..however hasn't he lost some of his shooting touch the last few years?

With the Nets 2 years ago he was still very effective, with Orlando and Phx his minutes were reduced and his numbers suffered...but I dont think being the 3rd scoring option and seeing alot of nice open looks from Rose drive and kick would hurt a chance for a nice 2 year run to finish off his career.

To me its a 1-2 year fix on the cheap. Gives them flexibility with the cap situation and the Bulls potentially could have a high end lottery pick with Charlottes 2014 pick...about the time Carter would be done and rose still a youthful 24-25 years old.

Bulls won 60 games with Bogans as their starting SG...imagine Vince Carter in place of Bogans while everyone else stays the same?

Living near Orlando I Don't get the love for Vince Carter AT ALL.  The guy puts up numbers each year, but they are empty numbers just like some eat empty calories.

He is a black hole.  The ball slow down while he goes one on one, he does not pass out of the double well, does not convert like he used to, has lost a lot of his explosiveness so his points come off of jumpers now more than attacking the glass and getting to the line and he is an uninterested defender.  Besides all that I think he is a great fit.   :icon_biggrin:

Tell us how you REALLY feel....  :ROTFLMAO:

You can definitely see he is not Vin-sanity or Air Canada anymore but his inability to pass out of a double team or need to create on his own wont be as much as an issue with the Bulls as it was when he was the main scoring guard in Orlando even. IMO he can be effective in spurts and still has a nice midrange and deep jumper. He is a big athletic defender as well...if Thibs can get him to buy into what they do on defense, it could be a good fit. He'll definitely help spread the floor and more importantly...will be cheaper than alot of the options out there right now.
