They're not friends...BW talked some smack and has even admitted some of it was wrong...so I'm sure Self is a little salty about it...he shook his hand...I am no bill self fan, but I don't think he owes anything more to BW than a handshake.

I saw them shake hands. I saw both of them just say the obligatory "good game" and move on. I saw Self go up and talk to McClain though.

I don't recall seeing BW get blown off.  I know win or lose, I'd probably not be in much of a mood to talk to the other coach after a game.

But honestly, I think BW did a great job tonight.  BW did a great job of coming up with a gameplan for the Illini to win with.  The score really does not show how close this game was.  In my eyes (not saying everyones, I know some people never will like BW) this game was a good thing for Illinois.  In my eyes, it has proven that BW is the better basketball coach.  Self looked frazzled and nervous through much of the game.  Yes he has an NC, but he also has some very early exits.  It seemed he was quite worried that an early exit was going to happen tonight.

Overall, and come on guys, we need to look big picture, this BW is our guy and the future will be better.  Plus, JR really has a shitload of making up to do next year, and he seems the type of guy to make that up.  Oskee-Wow-Wow

They made another run and went up 12, but Illinois cut it back down to 5 later.

That should have been out "take the lead" run. But yeah...the timeout was a great move.

Never said it was a good time out, it was definitely an odd one.  Just don't think it was domination from the on.  There was a TV Time out right after that as well.

Iman you gotta admit the timeout was kind of boneheaded..and it's impossible to argue it didn't kill our momentum.  Tis was not terrible tonight though..he did some nice things and played hard...he's just not even close to able to athletically compete with those guys.

I for one am not going to miss McCamey. He just doesn't seem to come through in the big games, as least Davis and Tisdale were scoring and rebounding. Good to see JR have a good game.

Coaches do that all the time now...I don't know why, don't necessarily agree, but come on if you guys think a time out cost us the game??????
