Great effort.  The shots just weren't following.  Illinois had plenty of chances to fold throughout the game but they stuck with and kept coming back.

Played well, and I think the pace was good.
Head played well, which is promising for next year.

Kansas is a really good team, and this would have been a huge upset.  Overall dissapointed with the season, but at least we played well these past two games.

Got beat by better athletes. Couldn't hit the big shot to get under that 4 pt barrier to put some pressure on them.

yep Reaper this program now has become a we competed program. Sadly.

We hadnt won 2 games in a row since January, biggest game of the year and our top recruit (literally) doesnt show up, and our "best" player is a dog.

Respect to MD and DJ for playing their asses off, they deserve better..

This bracket is going to be KU, VCU, Richmond, and FSU. Too bad KU just isnt that good.

I hope we compete next year, that is my expectation for this team.

Guys on the radio say the rumor is Gunther may be out in the next few months for what it's worth

Great effort but when you shoot 37% your never going to beat Kansas...

I'm giving a COTG nod to Davis for keeping us in it so long, I know we aren't supposed to give COTG's after a loss but if it wasn't for his play today this loss would be more like 35-40, and I'm not even kidding IMO

we simply had no answer for the morris boys.  Davis and Tisdale just weren't effective inside tonite
it looked like a blowout early, but we kept battling back and could never get over that hump

I don't think we can blame the refs.
We looked so slow on Defense in this game...we were chasing all night.
We don't possess even close to the same athleticism KU does. 

I also was glad to see us compete much of the game.  Nice to see Mike Davis and DJ show up to play some ball...Tis was good at times, DMAC was not much of a factor at all...BP really wasn't much to get excited about. 

A person has to admit KU is way out of our league.  What our old coach has done at KU isn't even comparable to what BW has done at Illinois.  We don't have many if any guys on our roster that could play for them...that's what we were sitting here contemplating tonight...who on our team could get on the court for them.  He's outrecruited BW since he left Illinois by a non-comparable margin. 

BW is a good coach in ways, but the whole package, he's not even close to Self.  I really like BW, but I think he's in pretty serious trouble in this crap with JR turns into a situation where he leaves.  That would really be devastating for our recruiting at a time when we seem to be getting more talent.  And we all know how awful our program can be when our recruiting doesn't prove to be successful.
